Humility is an expression of thankfulness to the One from Whom flows the gift of life. Humility is an attitude that captures God's attention because it is rooted in faith. Walking in humility is acknowledging God's grace and mercy extended to us daily. After all, waking up every morning is not a guarantee except through God. Hence, pride and self sufficiency should never enter our hearts or be found in our lives. We are much dependent upon God's mercy, and faithfulness. Humility intrinsically translates the reverent fear of the Lord even as it triggers God's lifting (James 4:6NLT). Humility is the wisdom and willingness to let God take full control of our lives. Humility is a character trait as evidenced by Christ's life, and we are all called to emulate Him (Phil. 2:7-8NLT). Wherever humility is found, God’s Presence abides, leads, favors, defends, and causes to prevail regardless of the circumstances. Visibly, humility is rewarding (because God delights in it).
